In his latest Substack essay, “Cultivating Noosphere Evolution in the Spirit of Teilhard and Whitehead,” philosopher Steve McIntosh draws on Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and Alfred North Whitehead to reinterpret today’s culture wars as part of a larger evolutionary process. He argues that the clash between traditional, modern, and progressive postmodern worldviews points toward the need for a “post-postmodern” cultural synthesis—one that integrates the best of all three into a more inclusive, developmental perspective on the noosphere.
