We’re pleased to share a unique opportunity from our collaborators at the Center for Christogenesis: a 10‑day Journey to Greece: Exploring the Greek Roots of Science, Religion, and Culture, led by Dr. Ilia Delio, September 20–30, 2026.
From a developmental perspective, ancient Greece represents one of humanity’s great “consciousness shifts”—a movement from mythic explanation toward rational, philosophical inquiry. This journey invites participants not just to learn about that transition, but to stand in the very places where an emerging worldview first took root, and to reflect on how a new stage of consciousness is emerging in our own time.
Guided by Ilia’s deep work at the intersection of science, religion, and culture, this trip can serve as a living laboratory for developmental philosophy: How do new forms of knowing arise? How do they transform religion, politics, culture, and our sense of the sacred cosmos?

- Walking the Agora of Athens, where Socrates questioned the assumptions of his fellow citizens.
- Visiting the sites of Plato’s Academy and Aristotle’s Lyceum, cradle-spaces of Western philosophy.
- Exploring Samos, home of Pythagoras and remarkable feats of early engineering, such as the Tunnel of Eupalinos.
- Encountering early Christian centers at Ephesus and Patmos, where a new religious consciousness took shape.
- Spending time on Kos, birthplace of Hippocrates, to reflect on the origins of Western medicine and the ethics of care.
- Daily discussions with Ilia Delio on the evolving relationship between science, religion, and culture in a universe still coming into being.
