John is co-founder and former CEO of Whole Foods Market, and he is co-author of Conscious Capitalism, Conscious Leadership, and the author of his most recent book, The Whole Story. In this conversation, John reflects on building Whole Foods from a single Austin storefront into a global enterprise and how his understanding of leadership has evolved alongside his inner life. The dialogue explores the moral foundations of free enterprise, entrepreneurship as a path of personal growth, and the role of spiritual practice and time in nature in sustaining long-term vision.
